This is the 10th anniversary of the Teddy Bear Roundup! The Thanksgiving season is a time for counting our blessings and thinking of those in need, and one way to do that is donating new or gently used teddy bears or other stuffed animals of any size to the County Sheriff's Patrol CRISIS BEARS program. The bears will be given to children in crisis by the Sherrif's Patrol as they respond to various emergency calls.
Please bring your critters to the Saturday, November 26th Bear Bar Night at Bolt Underground, and get $2 off the beer bust! All the teddy bears will be collected and donated in the name of the North Country Bears.

RIP Shayne Woosley
RIP Shayne Woosley, 1971-2011
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Shayne Woosley, who died suddenly in his sleep Monday, much too soon at the age of 40.
Shayne participated in such a wide variety of groups that he had friends far and wide. Whether remembered for walking with the Minneapolis Movie Bears pride parade float as the dog from "Up", dancing "Single Ladies" at Fur Flee, playing softball with the Goodtime Softball League, or doing drag as "Lexi", Shayne's brand of tender-hearted crazy and zest for life will be missed by all of us.
Béarnaise at MASA Sat, Nov 12, 6pm MASA Target Plaza 1070 Nicollet Ave
November is the time of feasting! The NCBears are honoring the month with a Béarnaise event, thankful that we have some of the best restaurants in the country. With an eye on the turkey and stuffing laying us flat on our backs at the end of the month, we are going counter-culture with a south of the border run.
Voted "Best Mexican" by Mpls/St. Paul magazine and mentioned by both the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, Masa features contemporary mexican cuisine and is part of the D'Amico chain of restaurants. Entrees range from $15-$25.
After dinner we'll head over to the Minneapolis Movie Bear Bar Night at the Saloon at 8pm.
